For more than half a century, many African countries have served as an inspirational model for progress and traditional democratic values. Africa Forward Institute (AFI) was created to help give a voice to those African countries wishing to continue to improve their economic, educational, and health infrastructures, and strengthen their presence in the global market. Ultimately, AFI serves as an energizing force for creating new avenues of autonomy and providing a critical forum for discussion about policies that positively impact the livelihoods and prosperity of African countries. AFI strives to offer these countries solutions for self-reliance and improved access to the global market.
